Mandale Mecha
THE CLIENT
Mandale Mecha is an Argentine-Brazilian band that mixes reggaeton, cumbia, tropical new wave and psychedelia in their songs.
THE CHALLENGE
Develop their album cover called Febrero, portraying the best of the Latin American summer: bold, simple and vibrant mood.
THE SOLUTION
Drawing on references sought from album covers of the Brazilian cultural movements like Tropicália and Manguebeat, as well artists such as Orishas, Gilberto Gil, Gal Costa, Duda Beat and Manu Chao - saturated colors were used and the vernacular typography present was inspired in the Brazilian streets. For the single title, I've worked with a more popular and modern typeface, bringing sparkles and reflections to give it a cheerful look.
